• 2012-... Media Application Development team leader - Responsible for internal media-oriented software

  All the following are in-house developments by the Media Application Team:
  • Traffic System (contracts, material, scheduling, ...)
  • Media Asset Management (ingest/playout/editing/archive movements, preview, ...)
  • Editorial metadata management and publishing (scheduling grids, titles, synopses, cast&crew, images, ...)
  • VOD preparation system (driving transcode and content-check systems, gathering metadata and images, packaging and delivery of assets to all major operators)

• 2004-2011 - "Publishing" (Editorial metadata management) project leader - organising workflow of BeTV scheduling grids metadata.

  Java & J2EE development with XML-oriented output pipelines (Struts, Cocoon, IBatis, ...).

  SQL, shell & C code maintenance on HP-UX.

1995 - 1996 : Complementary diploma in Computer Science, UCL, Louvain-la-Neuve

Thesis : Port of a free Linux Pascal development system to Windows, including graphical aspects.

1991 - 1995 : Industrial Engineer in Electronics, ECAM, Brussels

Thesis : Guidance and border-detection modules of an autonomous lawnmower.

Hobbies

Indochine Discography.

I happen to be a fan of the french band Indochine, and am the proud Webmaster of Indochine's detailed discography website since 1998.

Computers and electronics.

I've been playing/working/hacking with computers since I was 11. Over the time, I built an interactive led coffee table, integrated a  PC in a car, added WiFi to a set-top box, and lots of silly (but fun) stuff.
